New Larston Bridge

The New Larston Bridge was constructed to allow a greater quantity of traffic to cross the mighty Redspring River.

The bridge itself is a suspension bridge with with two lanes of traffic heading in each direction. A fifth traffic lane lies in the middle of the bridge, although it has a lowerable bollard system that runs down the middle of it. This auxiliary lane is kept for emergencies and is used only when there are major accident on the bridge (or if emergency services need to swiftly cross from one side of the river to the other).

Return to Redspring River.
